Coffee chats with 25+ home cooks revealed the universal struggle of forgotten groceries and meal planning stress. ☕️👩🍳

I sketched everyday kitchen scenarios, visualizing that blank stare at the fridge transforming into delightful meal discoveries. 🍽✏️

Bringing these ideas to life in Balsamiq, I watched users interact with early versions, gathering insights that shaped Zest's core features. 📱👀

To understand better about my users daily kitchen struggles, habits and aspirations and to create a better product. I have identifies two distinct user types who could benefit from Zest.

I created user flows to map out the logical paths users will take through Zest's key features. These diagrams helped me visualize the step-by-step journey and ensure a smooth, intuitive experience from receipt scanning to meal planning.

Lo - Fidelity

Starting with pen and paper, I sketched basic screen layouts to quickly explore different ideas for Zest. These initial wireframes directly addressed the key opportunities from my research, translating user needs into core features while maintaining an intuitive interface.

The low-fidelity approach allowed me to focus on functionality and user flow before committing to visual details.

Mid - Fidelity

Starting with pen and paper, I sketched basic screen layouts using App Mockup. These initial sketches helped me quickly explore different layouts and interaction patterns

Hi - Fidelity

Test and Iterate

Conducted usability testing with 10 peers who match our target users. Each participant was tracked with unique colors to identify patterns in their journey through the app.
