Travel More

AI-driven packing assistant in a travel app.

I designed an intuitive interface providing help with packing, luggage collection, or both, tailored to trip details. My goal is to streamline the packing experience for travelers and make it stress-free.

IOS Mobile App

WHY TRAVEL MORE???

I believe that traveling should be an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Ever struggled with packing for a trip? After hearing so many travelers' struggles, I built an app that brings packing experts to your home. Book trusted helpers to pack your bags, pick them up, or both - making your pre-travel experience actually enjoyable!"

From Idea To Interface

I kicked off by creating detailed user flows and screen flows, transforming them into storyboards to visualize the complete app journey.
Next, I brought these ideas to life through quick Balsamiq sketches, testing and refining each interaction point.
Finally, I crafted polished, interactive designs in Figma, making sure booking a packing helper feels as effortless as ordering your morning coffee.

My Role

As the Designer, I created this app from start to finish over 3 months. I designed every screen and feature, making it easy for people to book packing help right from their phones.

Tools Used

Figma for UI design and prototyping
Balsamiq for lo fidility wire framing
Storyboard.that for storyboarding

My Approach And Timeline To Design App

Identified Customer Problems

Research Methodology

I used a mixed-method approach to understand luggage pain points:

Pain Points

Confusing Airline Rules

Different airlines have different rules about how heavy and big your luggage can be. Travelers waste time trying to figure out these rules, which often change. This makes people worried before their trip even starts, and sometimes they have to repack their bags at the airport.

Airport Wait Times

Even if you check in online, you still have to wait in long lines just to drop off your bag. Most people spend about 37 minutes standing in line. This makes people tired and annoyed before their trip even begins.

Heavy Luggage Burden

Suitcases are heavy, usually about 42 pounds. Travelers have to lift and carry these heavy bags many times - from home to car, from car to airport, and through the airport. This is hard for older people, people with health issues, and families with children.

Lost Luggage Anixity

After you drop off your bag, you have no idea where it is or what's happening to it. Most travelers (85%) worry about their bags getting lost, especially during delays or when changing planes. Not knowing where your things are causes a lot of stress.

Competitor Analysis

Market Gap

User Persona

My Hypothesis

Travelers would prefer to pick up luggage or pack luggage before their flight and have them delivered to the airport, rather than waiting in line at the check-in counter

Travelers Want to save time at the airport

Trannsporting luggage is physically burdernsome

Check-in lines create travel anxiety.

Consequences

Luggage and paciing problems don't just cause frustration also they affect the whole trip. My research shows how these issues impact travelers long after they leave the airport

Opportunity

My research revealed a dual opportunity: travelers gain freedom from luggage burdens while businesses benefit from reduced counter congestion and a new revenue stream with strong market demand.

For Users

No Heavy Bags
Travel without carrying luggage through airports

Save Time
Skip check-in lines, saving 30+ minutes per trip

Peace of Mind
Users track their luggage location in real-time

For Business

Strong Demand
71% of travelers willing to pay $25-35 per
service

New Revenue
Partnerships with airlines seeking improved
customer satisfaction

Operational Efficiency
40% less crowding at check-in counters

Expected Outcome

My Design Process

Story Board

Now let's explore the storyboard

Screen Flow Architecture

Below is the user journey for each product offering:

Pick-up and pre-packed bags
Receive packing assistance
Use a combination of both services

Key experience wins would be

Ease of use
luggage management
Payment gateway

User Flow Architecture

Clear path user takes to complete task

Lo- fi Design

My Initial sketches of the app's interface for each product offering

I focused on key functionalities such as: Book a ServiceBag management (adding, editing, deleting) Payment processing.

Hi fi Design

I have shared the video of the polished and visually appealing mockups of the app screens.

Please note this is not my final design.

Test and Iterate

User Testing

I would collect qualitative and quantitative data to illustrate user feedback and pain points. Make changes accordingly and below are some of the questions that would help me better update the application

Conclusion

My app addresses key problems for frequent travelers which is

Long lines and wait times at the airport
Carrying heavy luggage is inconvenient
Stress caused by delays or lost luggage
